The Latin Angels originated as a neighborhood crew in the Chicagoland suburb of Cicero in the late 1980's. The Latin Angels operated in and around the Parkholme Park Homes. The Latin Angels established a tigh-knit relationship with the Two-Two Boys street gang, due to the fact both gangs operated within the same area's. Through the late 1980's and early 1990's, the Latin Angels remained as a independent group choosing to not join either the Folks or People alliance. In 1993, the Latin Angels encountered conflicts with members of the Latin Kings street gang. Due to the ties between the Latin Angels and Two-Two Boys street gang in Cicero, the Latin Kings considered the Latin Angels to be a Folks orientated gang that was trying to recruit in the community. Few altercations between members of these organizations lead to shootings in the Parkholme vicinity. There were few members of the Latin Angels who had been killed or wounded. During these events between the Latin Angels and Latin Kings, a war erupted between the Two-Two Boys and Gangster Two-Six street gang. In result, pressure among the Latin Angels intensified as the Gangster Two-Six implemented force over the Two-Two Boys who operated within the same territory. The Latin Angels found themselves in the midst of various territorial wars which threatened the gangs stronghold severely. Eventually, the Latin Angels and Two-Two Boys lost control over the Parkholme Park Homes area and were forced to relocate their operations. In the late 1990's, the Latin Angels joined the People alliance, initially allied to the Latin Kings. Today, the Latin Angels remain to operate in the Grant Works neighborhood in the Chicagoland suburb of Cicero where they hold a well known reputation. The Latin Angels principle rivals have consisted of the Latin Kings, Noble Knights, Latin Counts, Gangster Two-Six, La Raza, Sin City Boys, Maniac Latin Disciples, and Gangster Disciples street gangs.
