Blue Fin Black Disciples

Blue Fin Black Disciples is a People/Brother Mob made up of mostly blacks.

Their colors are Black, Red, and Blue.

Their symbols include Treys, Crescent Moon, 5 Point Star, Dollar Sign, Hooded Bunny, The number 2 and number 4 dice, 2 Crossed Pistols.

The Blue Five Black Disciples or Blue Fin Black Disciples were formed sometime around the year 2000 as a break away faction of the Black Disciple Nation. The group was formed by Marvell Thompson A.K.A King Vel. King Vel was second in command for the Black Disciples, under Jerome Freeman before Freeman stepped down. In a bold move, King Vel broke away several south side BD factions and aligned them under the People alliance, including adapting Islamic beliefs seen in some nations under people. This new Renegade faction is known as the Blue Fin BDs. Some believe that this radical change to traditional Black Disciple beliefs is what caused Jerome Freeman to step down. Some also attribute the poor relationship the BDs had with other folks gangs such as the Gangster Disciples that caused this new people faction of the BDs to emerge. The Blue Fins then adopted People nation bylaws and strong relations with Black P Stones and Mickey Cobras. MC and Blue Fins even share sets at 59th and King Dr., Jackson and Damen and 117th and Princeton. Their main enemies include Gangster Disciples as well as Black Disciples still under the traditional folks bylaws. Many traditional Black Disciples do not recognize Marvell Thompson “King Vel” as a leader and say that he is not welcome in Black Disciple strongholds.
